- Bring back fanball mobile.
The loss of this feature, along with the supposed enhancements to the site this year, will keep my league from returning next year.
- Bring back the ability to set your lineup for future weeks.
- Show player opponents on the Matchup page.
Basically, go back to the 2008 model and junk the stuff you did this year. I would be willing to be that there will be more than a few leagues that move on after the debacle that was fanball this year.
"Debacle?" That's being far too kind.
I could be wrong, but it would seem that the decisions made about the changes this season were made by someone with little knowledge of sports and absolutely no knowledge of fantasy football leagues. It's likely far too late for this, because I expect Fanball to have a huge drop in customers next year because of all the failures, but they should consider consulting with commissioners of 20 or so leagues about how things ran this year and how they should run in the future. Hell, they may need to consult with 200. There are so many varieties of leagues that you need people who have been involved in many different set ups to know what is and isn't useful to owners, and what is and isn't working well right now at Fanball. Of course, would I trust the same management and designers to improve the system that screwed it up so badly this year?
While there are a few moderators that I believe are trying hard to help us, the overwhelming feeling is that the people who are making the actual decisions and who have designed this site are clueless as to what is good and bad. The amount of work I needed to do to ensure my league ran relatively smoothly was far too great. Simple issues that we needed to tell you that weren't working, simple issues that we needed to tell you about because the system hadn't been tested, are completely inexcusable and indicate the decisions are being made by someone with no knowledge of fantasy football. The fact that only a few "recommended" browsers seem to work on this system is crazy (and now it seems IE7 isn't working with it).
And how is it that we even need to suggest the ability to make picks for future weeks when the system permitted it last year and EVERY FANTASY SITE (I can't list them because you block their names from being posted - how utterly childish) allows owners to do that?
