Fanball Update June 2, Commissioner NFL 2009 Options

Hello!

We are excited about Commissioner NFL 2009 and the new features and improvements that will be offered this season. We are gearing up now for league renewals and new league signups. We know you will be happy about some of the new and/or improved features this year because they were added based on your suggestions!

Enhancements for 2009 include:

Improved Live Draft Room that includes a new chat feature within the draft window.

Commissioners can make retroactive team changes, reverse team changes, and regenerate scoring for the league. Team owners can view Commissioner retroactive transactions.

Flex position added (WR/RB/TE).

Option for the Commissioner to rollover contracts and salaries from season to season.

Schedule set-up is easier to use and schedules doubleheaders automatically.

Improved uneven trade option that allows 2-for-1 trades without requiring a team owner to drop a player before accepting the trade.

Improved Transactions Lock function so that if your league uses the "players to lock 5 minutes before the kickoff of their game,” the bench players as well as the starting players will lock.

Improved Trade Deadline with Challenge Rule functionality so that trades only can be proposed or accepted if enough time for voting remains.

Deadline enhancement that allows a Season Deadline for adds/drops so that the Commissioner does not have to do this manually.

Head Coach position now references the Team Coach (i.e., Team Coach New England ) rather than the actual head coach’s name (i.e., Bill Belichick).

We are still implementing additional enhancements based on your suggestions, and will provide more details in upcoming updates.

Leagues Renewals and New League Registrations

Renewals and new league signups will be available the week of June 15.

Returning leagues are $59.95 if renewed before 12 Midnight CT on July 31. After 12 Midnight CT on July 31, returning leagues are $69.95. Additional returning leagues created by the same commissioner as an already renewed league are $59.95 each regardless of when the additional league is renewed (before or after July 31).

New leagues are $69.95 for the first league. Additional leagues created by the same commissioner are $59.95 each. New leagues will not be billed until Week 3 unless the league is using the Live Draft Room. Leagues must be paid in order to use the Live Draft Room.

Additional options with upgrade fees are available for Multiple Conferences and Jumbo Leagues. Leagues can have 2 conferences for an additional charge of $24.95 per league and leagues may have more than 25 teams for an additional charge of $20 per league.

Real Leagues

At this time, we do not have a signup date for Real Leagues. We will post an update when more information is available. Real Leagues pricing is the same as previous seasons: $9.95 for the first set of 2 teams and $4.95 for each additional set of 2 teams. Real Leagues also will have some new features for 2009, including a new Live Draft Room, and we will announce more details in future updates.
